The For-Cause Chapter Leader is a volunteer position that will be responsible for managing and leading the operations and activities of the local chapter. It is the highest position a person can hold in a local Chapter.
The Chapter Leader role requires at least 20 hours a month and a 12-month commitment to the role. The form link below is the first stage of a three-stage For-Cause Chapter Leader application process where we decide on potential Chapter locations based on finding the right person to lead the chapter. Those who are considering applying should understand that being a For-Cause Chapter Leader is a commitment that will be challenging but also rewarding, both personally and professionally.
By the very nature of our movement, and as an official and public representative of OneSource for Longevity & Retirement Readiness (OSLRP), For-Cause Chapter Leaders will be held to high ethical standards that are beyond the typical expectations seen in society. Many people join nonprofit boards, teams, and organizations for casual involvement or to add something to their resume. OSLRP is not that type of organization. We are looking for enthusiastic people that are eager to get involved in their community through hands-on outreach.
For-Cause Chapter Leader responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organizing and leading mandatory monthly meetings with all members
- Managing thought-provoking and impactful projects that involve both large and small teams
- Evaluating potential members and increasing chapter membership
- Executing fundraising campaigns to help support local charitable promises and operations
- Speaking as a public representative for OneSource for Longevity & Retirement Readiness to community organizations, the media, etc.
Through the For-Cause Chapter Program, we aim to change lives by helping people enjoy the benefits of living longer through better education and more innovation. This will not be an easy task. After reading through the descriptions and questions below, if you feel hesitant about your interest or commitment to the position, this may be a sign that the role is not right for you. If so, there are plenty of more ways to get involved - check out our membership page.
